The sun shone brightly on the JE crew in NYC and at Van Cortlandt Park.
Senior Kyle Merrill completes his last race at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday. Merrill was one of two JE harriers to compete in his 4th race at the famed course. Merrill scored as JE's 4th man finishing the tough, 2.5 mile course in 15.19 in 187th place.
Junior Donato Direnzo sprints to the finish in the Varsity "C" race. Donato was JE's 2nd man once again, finishing in 119th place in 14.50. Direnzo took off one minute and 23 seconds from his sophomore race at Van Cortlandt.
Freshman Mike "Mad Dog" Marrero continues to improve as he hurdles his body down the closing stretch of the Manhattan College Invitational. Marrero was JE's 3rd man once again finishing in 137th place (14.58). Mike's time was the 4th fastest JE freshman time ever.
About one minute from the starting gun....stride outs to prepare the mind and body for the race.
